Accessibility Statement.
We’re building JobSimplified to be usable by everyone. Here’s where we stand, what we’ve done, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
The short version
- We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the site.
- Full keyboard use, screen-reader support, and reduced-motion respect.
- We treat accessibility gaps as bugs, not acceptable.
- Hit a barrier? Email us — we reply within 2 business days.
Our commitment
JobSimplified exists to help people find work — and that has to include everyone. We’re committed to making our website and services usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.
The standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA— the internationally recognised benchmark for accessible websites. These guidelines are organised around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
Where we fall short of Level AA on any page, we treat it as a bug to be fixed, not an acceptable state.
What we've done
Steps we’ve taken to make the site accessible include:
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements can be reached and operated without a mouse.
- Semantic structure — proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can make sense of each page.
- Colour contrast — text and interface colours are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios.
- Text alternatives — meaningful images carry alt text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive tech.
- Reduced motion — animations respect the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system.
- Responsive & zoom-friendly — layouts reflow cleanly at 200% zoom and on small screens.
Known limitations
We’re honest about where we’re not there yet. Areas we’re actively working on:
- Some third-party embeds (like our scheduling widget) are outside our direct control, and their accessibility depends on the provider.
- A small number of older documents may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers.
If you hit a barrier that isn’t listed here, please tell us — it helps us prioritise.
Using assistive technology
Our site is designed to work with common assistive technologies, including screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS), screen magnifiers, speech-recognition software, and browser zoom. If something isn’t working with your setup, let us know the tool and browser you’re using and we’ll do our best to help and to fix it.
Feedback & getting help
If you experience any difficulty using our website, or need information in a different format, we want to hear from you. We aim to respond within 2 business days, and we’ll work with you to give you the information or service you need in a way that works for you.
Accessibility support
Please include the page, your browser, and any assistive technology you’re using. You can also reach us via our contact page.
Ongoing effort
We review accessibility as part of building new pages and features, and we revisit existing ones over time. This statement will be updated as we make improvements and as standards evolve.
